Brigadier General (Retd) Mohammad Selim is an Independent Director of Board of Directors of BIFC. He did MSDS from the Institute of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and MBA from Trinity University, Delware, USA. At present he is also the Adviser of Haji Fabrics Limited, Makshil Fabrics Limited and Mood Trading?Russia Bangladesh First Sourcing. Previously Mr. Selim was the Managing Director of Japan Bangladesh Security Printing and Papers. Mr. Selim is an ex-cadet of Jhenidah Cadet College and joined Bangladesh Army in the year 1979. ?He was awarded “Sword of Honor” in BMA for his outstanding performances. Subsequently he joined the corps of Infantry and retired as the Brigadier General of Bangladesh Army.?He was Director Overseas Operations Bangladesh Army.?He also acted as Managing Director and Director General of Sena Kallayan Songstha.Mr. Selim attended a number of training programs in home and abroad. He attended Junior Command Course at Military HQ of Warfare, India, Strategic Planning and Policy Formulation on HIV/AIDS, NPS, Monterey, USA, Army Staff Course, Quetta, Pakistan, Southeast Asia Security Seminar in Hawaii, Australia, China and Vietnam and National Defense Course, National Defense College, Mirpur. Mr. Selim completed the research on Green House Effect and its Impact on Bangladesh and Economic Peacekeeping – an Option for Bangladesh. He held Executive Assignment as Commander, Infantry Brigade, Commandant NCOs Academy, Principal, Jhenidah Cadet College (JCC), Commanding Officer, Infantry and Rifle Battalions. He is happily married and has two sons. Mr. Selim comes of a respectable Muslim family of Jessore.
